Sam DeFranceschi specializes in residential sales and rentals all over Manhattan and in Park Slope, Brooklyn Heights, Cobble Hill, and Carroll Gardens. He also works with many new developments below 86th Street and in prime Brooklyn. Sam’s selective eye and knack for distinguishing quality work make him a great counselor when choosing to buy a new development or a newly renovated space. Working as a general contractor on a luxury property on Central Park South, Sam was exposed to the world of high-end real estate, and it was then that he envisioned his career negotiating property sales. His experience as a GC gives him the tools to be critical of residential space from the unique perspective of a home buyer and a builder at the same time.
He was born and raised in Boston and earned a BA in Global Studies from The University of California, Santa Barbara. Sam spent much of his early career traveling the world and living in Europe. He spent one year in Barcelona studying political science and another in Bordeaux learning the French language and hospitality industry. For the past few years Sam has lived in Brooklyn and worked in Manhattan where he was the personal assistant to Francois Nars. His deep knowledge of Brooklyn and his French and Spanish abilities make him an ideal representative for his clients, both foreign and domestic.
Sam's extensive knowledge of New York City and the world, along with his ability to put himself in his client’s shoes makes him an effective and capable agent. He is adaptive and receptive to his clients’ needs, and puts people first. His experience working with clients from all walks of life and his ability to learn the unique needs of individuals make him one of the most efficient agents in the city. As he continues to focus his energies towards the new development market, he sees himself branching into the commercial and retail sales markets as part of his long-term future goals.
